Our Aunt Grace was an avid family history buff, collecting and compiling many
volumes. It has been my desire to publish, to this site, her works, that perhaps
I may have information that may help others find their roots.  

I welcome corrections and additions and will strive to add as much as I can to
this site before I run out of the allowed MB. I acknowledge the help I have
received from many of you and want to thank you. Lets keep this
"Work-in-Progress" continuing.

The following is a story about pruning the family genealogy tree when the family
tree has an outlaw and a cattle rustler on it.

One family had an ancestor who was involved in rustling horses, bank and train
robbery and was finally caught, spent time in jail, and then hanged. The family
wrote the obit as follows:

"Our beloved Uncle Remus acquired considerable equestrian assets over his
lifetime. He had business relationships with railroads and several banks. His
prominent position in the business community took him to several government
facilities. He died tragically at a civic function when the platform upon which
he was standing collapsed."

Don't believe all you read, even in a "reliable" source. Information is only as
good as the person writing or transcribing it.
